Let's see here. Merloc is it? Here's the only book we have stocked at the moment. It's missing the chapter on wealth but there's an excellent story about melting your clothing in a pot on page 11. It's a one of a kind story written completely in invisible ink. Enjoy! I kind of figured this was how things would work... I'll end up rebinding later tonight most likely. $:\$ I really wish I had had a more detailed conversation with the developer of Mischief when she visited yesterday, but I was just too distressed over getting in the death loop. I can't imagine why they were added AND KoS to everyone, but... Bottom Right is VERY, VERY rare. It took me about 90 kills to eventually get it. You are rewarded with a coin which you based upon who you give it to rewards you with an item appropriate to your class. Similiar to the Collar of Storm, et all quest. It produced: Funny Money NO DROP AC: 2 WT: 0.1 Size: TINY Class: ALL Race: ALL Item Lore: Comical Currency... DUH! I guess this is the item we give to Peachy, but she asks for 4... ugh. Okay, I am not smoking crack... every time I zone, my Words of Wealth randomly changes the Race and Class that can use it.

Usually one is NONE, but I got this combo after a few tries.

CLASS: DRU ROG SHM NEC WIZ ENC
Race: HUM BAR HIE HEF TRL HFL IKS

Even though it looks like a range item, there is no slot yo u can equip it...

Kind of strange though.

Well, I finally managed to make 4 funny money's...

Green Writguard, Vambraces of Distraction, Mask of Melodies, and Crown of Distraction all worked to create Funny Money, but Buckler of Doom did not.

I took the 4 Funny Money's to Peachy, and handed them over.

Peachy D`Vicci reaches into her satchel and pulls out a small box. 'Here ya go! Enjoy it. Come back soon. Just a warning though, I cant give you a box that you already have. There isn't enough for everyone you know!'

Item I got was:

a blue gift box
MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
EXPENDABLE Charges: 5
Effect: Open Blue Box
WT: 0.5 Size: SMALL
Class: ALL
Race: ALL

So, I right clicked and it summons...

a Sly Summoner doll
LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: PRIMARY SECONDARY
Charges: 5
CHA: +2
Effect: Hug
WT: 0.1 Size: TINY
Class: ALL
Race: ALL

So, I right clicked... and it casts "Hug" on me, regen icon... doesn't seem to do anything, except add a 6hp regen... you get the message "You hug your doll." 1 or 2 minutes later it wears off, "Your doll has forgotten you."

I accidently clicked the chest, and lost another doll. 8/

Gave one doll to petunia, and one to Bristlebane, no resutlts.

Anyway, we are stumped there... maybe it was a booby prize...

Thanks to Kinwen (who gave up his bracer), we were able to get this far.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Well, the things you can do with the doll are kind of limited...

1. Give it to a certain NPC
2. Cast it next to a NPC (long shot)
3. Cast it, and prevent another spell from stalking with it... possibly the 4 dancers, or Life... and maybe that triggers an event (long shot)
4. Equip it and...?

I don't really think there is anything else that can be done with it...

when equipped, it looks like a standard doll graphic.

Have we tried (since the patch) to talk to all NPC's about dolls, puppets, etc? Also given the "convoluted" comment by Absor, there might be another step between the sly summoner doll and spawning the CT puppet, if that's where this is leading.

Is the hug Targetable or self-only?

Perhaps you have to cast it on something in mischief that needs a hug.

Hm.

Just a check... this may be an actual prize, that is if they can be recharged by BoV/mana batteries...

1 - hmm .. well if it prevents DT or some nasty AoE .. it ight be sort of ok .. but not worth the hassle still 8-(

2 - Maybe give the doll and CT strings to make a CT puppet?

I just have to mention .. that this costs 32 rare items to make at least ... more likely closer to 72 rare items, considering how often you get cards you already have and cant combine, and parts of the words that you already have and cant combine .... WOW, this is just huge to do. I sure hope that we find some sort of effect for this thing 8-( 5 Charges seems just really bad, unless rechargable or some really really UBER effect, I cant think of anything effect that would be worth this effort ... even INSTA kill NPC, would not be worth it, cause you have 5 charges of lets say kill lvl 70npc. But to get it, it takes you the killing of at least 10:1 for card collection ... ie .. you kill close to 800 lvl 55+ npcs in order to get a 5 charge effect? ... hehe .. I sure hope that this is part of a larger quest ...heheh. BTW if someone doesnt believe that you kill 800 lvl 55+ NPCs, I can send you my logs (all 200 megs) since I been working on the Alice area .. never mind the entire time ince Ive been in PoM ....heheh 8-) and Im still not close to completeing what Meloc did ..hehe. I only have 2 funny money if I were to give up the only 2 items Ive created so far and actually find another library card (I still dont have one yet ... we only found 1 so far and my partner has it atm) .ehhe 8-)

I long wondered what the "Open Colored Box" spells were in SPDat... There are... 14 "Open **** box" spells, all that summon different items. So we're talking about what, 14 possible rewards? I doubt we'll ever see all 14.

That said, this might be one of the junk prizes... There could be even more worthwhile items to be found. The fact remains, and since I know some dev folks at Verant read this board, I hope these words will be considered: There should be no junk prizes. Look at what Irontaail said. Mischief or not, there is a line. Mischief crossed the line between fun/goofy and pathetically repetitive/frustrating four months ago.

This quest should have yielded some of the better items in the game, as how many people are going to complete it? Thanks to those lovely Pansies that just "had!" to be added, I gave up on the zone. These crap rewards are not worth the death loops I was getting in.

To find out what the other prizes *might* do, if they are similar, is look through SPDat for undiscovered and "goofy" effects...

Well, I only have 2 charges left... I think I'll make another doll, and try to recharge it and the chest, and maybe try casting the spell around a few NPCs, then bank the doll and the chest until I find a blatently obvious use for them.

I kind of feel like a jerk for wasting 7 thrones like that... and if there are 14 different chests, it seems unlikely that the one I got is anything more than a booby prize.

What colors are the other boxes, btw?

Box colors

As SpDat says, the box colors are:

Black
Blue
Gold
Green
Grey
Mithril
Opaque
Pearlescent

Red
Shimmering
Silver
Striped
White

That's all there are in Spdat. In addition... if it matters, the effect 'Hug' was just added in the last patch.
